It is difficult today to point out what in the past would have been considered Truth. The obstacles to stating the Truth are many, but the major obstacle is the fear of being labeled. This fear is the greatest enemy of American Freedom. It is most apparent in the process of selecting political leaders and attempting to enforce some level of accountability on their actions.
So, let us begin by stating some truths about the beliefs of the American Heartland. We are not misogynists. We are not Islamophobic. We are not racists. We are not socialists or communists. We are not stupid.
We believe in freedom of religion and freedom of speech. We love our Country, understand its founding principles, and are patriotic. We support and honor our military and police. Free-market capitalism is our preferred economic system. We support the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution as the Law of the Land. We believe that all human rights are inalienable and are from a source above the government and that the role of government is to protect those rights. And we believe the role of government should be limited to those enumerated in the Constitution.
Only the United States of America has a government with checks and balances between the branches of government. However, overtime, we have also established a multi-party-political system to provide further checks on the power and scope of government.
Today we are witnessing a single party attempt to enforce its will on the people; to even go as far as actively undermining the rights of individual citizens and destroying their livelihoods. We have seen newly -elected openly anti-American politicians gain more power by flouting a minority status that has been championed by the mainstream media. The leader of this cohort is Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known by her initials as AOC, is a 30-year old American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district. The district includes the eastern part of the Bronx and portions of north-central Queens in New York City. She is a member of the Democratic Party but is also among the first female members of the Democratic Socialists of America elected to serve in Congress. She advocates a progressive platform that includes Medicare for All, a federal jobs guarantee, the Green New Deal, abolishing the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, free public college and trade school, and a 70% marginal tax rate for income above $10 million. She attended Boston University and graduated cum laude in 2011. At the university she majored in international relations and economics. She is an enthusiastic believer in Modern Monetary Theory and completely ignorant in her knowledge of history, domestic and international affairs, climate and energy. She is in Truth, a communist.
In her most recent congressional election on November 3, 2020, AOC won with 71.6% of the vote against John Cummings, the Republican candidate, who got 27.4% of the vote. AOC received a total of 152,661 votes to 58,440 for Cummings. Cummings was a white, 30- year NYPD veteran and retired history teacher. He had no chance.
AOC has run for office in two general elections and two Democratic primaries and has won every one of those races, most with overwhelming margins. Her district has a population of nearly 700,000 with nearly 70 percent speaking two languages at home (mostly Spanish) and nearly half born outside the US (more than half from Latin America).
While AOC is considered a lock to win re-election in 2022, she can be defeated. She needs to be opposed by a female, Hispanic, naturalized American with experience in living in a socialistic/communist state such Cuba or Venezuela. Or perhaps an articulate Puerto-Rican-heritage Republican. And this candidate will need to be well financed and supported by the entire Republican Party.
An astute analysis. . .thank you for posting.
