When AOC initiated her Green New Deal and submitted it to Congress, I was perplexed. I wrote a book as a personal catharsis. It was called Why the Green New Deal is a Bad Deal for America. The book went nowhere, but it is available in Kindle and Nook format. So, obviously not getting my point across, I wrote another book about this stupid proposal of hers to make America a Socialist nation. It was called Persistent Evil: Socialism. Ditto results. But it is also available in Kindle and Nook Format if you’re interested. You can even get the paperback at Walmart. In fact, you can even go to the American Freedom Publications website to see all of our offerings. Not much traffic there, so that’s why I am on Substack. That ends this commercial.
How is it that this dingbat has acquired so much power? How is it that a predominantly Hispanic Congressional district of well-meaning people can get so caught up with this “you go brown Sister” BS that they blindly elect an extreme radical to high office? There are over half a million people in her district, but it is unlikely that the millions of bucks she is raking in called “political contributions” is actually coming from her constituents.
AOC thinks the People don’t understand Socialism and Capitalism. She whispers it into her iPhone. But We the People in the American Heartland actually do understand these evils. The truth is that she doesn’t understand that Progressivism is Communism. She doesn’t understand that printing money for social programs that don’t increase productivity will cause inflation. And she doesn’t know that fossil fuels are the key to human flourishing. Without affordable, available gasoline, diesel, natural gas and coal, the Nation will perish. She is not even astute enough to observe the negative effects of her Green New Deal policies on her own district. Those that escaped the evil and corruption of Socialism/Communism to live free in the 14th District need to wake up and dump this twerp.
The only answer I can come up with for all of these misguided legislative shenanigans is that the “Loonies are running the Asylum.”
The Asylum is, of course, Washington DC.

In 2018 AOC defeated a 10-term incumbent. . .a 60-year old man who lacked her media appeal – she was a 28-year old bartender with no political experience, kind of a Rocky scenario. Moreover, she was brash and challenged the old guard; median age of Congress is 60. She won early support from Bernie Sanders, then joined with several other young, female newcomers tabbed as “The Squad” who did not kowtow to the D.C. power structures. She is more photogenic than Nancy Pelosi who turned 82 this past Saturday. She is loved by her fellow millennials who see government as a close-system for the rich and powerful (and old), so never mind her wacky, socialistic/communistic ideas. . .she is wired with 12 million Twitter followers, on magazine covers like Vanity Fair and Time which called her “The Phenom.” Her wide-eyed, ingenue look, the fact she is Hispanic and her willingness to opine on any subject, despite her lack of political savvy or real-world knowledge beyond her suburban NY upbringing and Boston College education seem not to matter to her fans. True, politics today is local and national, but more than ever it is visual where style impacts more than substance – where a pretty smile draws higher ratings than the endless talking heads on Fox or any other cable “opinion” channel. AOC is here to stay. Time for Republicans to recruit more of their own youthful – but smart – candidates.
