On September 16, 2021, Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke at the National Symposium on Patriotic Education at the College of the Ozarks at Point Lookout Missouri. The topic of her speech was Liberty’s Lessons – Learning about America's heritage, especially individual and religious freedom.
The College of the Ozarks is a fully accredited, Christian, liberal arts college located just outside Branson, Missouri. The institution provides the opportunity for full-time students to work at one of more than 100 campus jobs or industries to help pay for part of their cost of education. The remaining portion of the students’ expenses is covered through scholarships provided by gifts and contributions from donors who believe in and support the programs and policies of the College. These student work programs and donor contributions allow C of O students to graduate debt-free. The institution’s nickname is Hard Work U.
The purpose of the Symposium, which was hosted by The William S. Knight Center for Patriotic Education at College of the Ozarks, was to revive historic American values and virtue on the eve of the 250th anniversary of America’s founding.
Mrs. Sanders presentation was remarkable in its content and delivery. She spoke for over 45 minutes without notes or the aid of a teleprompter. There was heartfelt honesty and concern in her tone. It was inspiring. As I listened, I became resentful of the way she was treated by the mainstream press during her tenure as the White House Press Secretary for President Donald J. Trump from 2017 to 2019. Upon her departure from the administration, President Trump described Sarah as "irreplaceable," a "warrior" and a "very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job." In my opinion, the President understated her performance. Now she is running to be the Governor of Arkansas. She will be a fine Governor and more.
